Ahead of City's Boxing Day clash against Bristol Rovers, Gary Caldwell sat down to share his thoughts.
Like Burton on Saturday, Rovers will be a difficult opponent to prepare for, as they have an interim manager after the departure of Matt Taylor.
"There's potential managers coming in so we have to pretty flexible in that regard, but if that does change then we're ready to adapt."
Captain Pierce Sweeney was absent from the squad on Saturday against Burton having picked up an injury, something that has scarcely happened during his time at City to date as Gary reflected on.
"Sweens is going to be 8-10 weeks, so he'll be out for a long period of time which, for him at this club, I don't think has ever happened before. That shows the level we're at, the games we've had, it's put a toll on even our stalwart player who's always there. We'll miss him but he'll work hard and come back even better.
"Tristan we're still accessing," Gary said, explaining the squad's other injuries, "It's not as bad as it could've been, he missed training on Friday, he didn't feel any worse when he came off in the game he just didn't feel comfortable, which is 100% the right thing to do and hopefully it's a minor muscle injury and we can get him back quick."
