Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to make the short trip up the M5 on Saturday afternoon to take on Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
City can take heart from the performance in the closing stages of Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic after Reece Cole's goal, and head to Bristol on a run of four away games without defeat. Caldwell hopes the side can use Tuesday as motivation going into the fixture.
"We want to give the supporters an enjoyable trip, thankfully it's a short one and not a 6am rise like usual, as we know how much of an important game this is for them.
"We've been good on the road lately with the team really coming together which is brilliant. Results breed confidence and we're playing in a way at the moment that is quite versatile whether we are at home or away.
"Our identity is flexible on how we can play and credit to the players - long may our run continue as we have some tough away games."
