Exeter City travel to Bristol Rovers in the final Group G game of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on Tuesday evening, knowing a point will be enough to secure top spot and a home tie in the next round.
With victories over Swindon Town (2-1) and Tottenham Hotspur U21s (2-0) in the first two matches, six points has already secured a spot in the knockouts for the Grecians, but they still need one more point on the board to guarantee the first place, with Swindon and Spurs not facing each other until next week for their final group match. Rovers drew 3-3 with the Spurs youngsters, losing on penalties, before losing 4-0 to Swindon in their second outing.
In league action, both sides come into the match looking to respond to weekend defeats - the Grecians beaten 2-0 at Huddersfield while the Gas were on the wrong side of a single goal at Reading.
Permutations
Here is how the table looks ahead of the final round of group matches. A point for Exeter City is enough to win the group, even if they were to lose the penalty shoot-out. A win also guarantees top spot. If City lose to Rovers, we must wait until next Tuesday when Swindon play Spurs to see whether we top the group. If that happens and Swindon win, they will top the group on goal difference.

Kevin Nicholson's Thoughts
"The big thing for us is that it is the next game and therefore the most important," Nicho said pre-match.
"It is one we have the chance to affect. It is a nice place to go and play, and there are the obvious links to the old manager which other people will talk about, but for us we have to make sure we are positive, be aggressive with and without the ball."
