Gary Caldwell reacts to Wycombe draw

Gary Caldwell has given his reaction as Exeter City drew 2-2 with table-topping Wycombe Wanderers at St James Park on Tuesday night.

City led by two thanks to early goals from Millenic Alli and Jack McMillan, but surrended the lead with a goal either side of half-time. Despite losing the lead, Caldwell was still pleased with his side's performance.

"We always knew how hard it would be but we started incredibly well, which is the potential this team has - and that is the quality we had, the goals we scored and the chance."

"I have seen Wycombe go to Stockport and annihilate them inside 15 minutes, and we did that to them. It was a brilliant start but I said at 2-0 this game wasn't over.

"They are a good team, they are physical and kept bring bigger and stronger players on - their changes were incredible. I think it was probably a fair result in the end.

"It's testament to the players that we went 2-0 up against a side who have won 11 in a row, and as I always say after a draw, it's the next game now - we have to go and win the next one to make this a brilliant point."
