The Exeter City Foundation big winner for February was Graham Whetlor who won the £1,000 prize. Graham is a long-distance supporter living in the Midlands. He is pictured with his friend and fellow exile Alex, receiving his cheque from City CEO Joe Gorman.
Graham gave an insight into the life of an exiled supporter “I was born in Moretonhampstead in 1959, so am an Exeter /Devon lad, but got brought up to live in Worcestershire when I was young. I happened to meet a guy named Alex 7 years ago in Tenbury Wells where we both lived, he was from Exmouth and ever since we have travelled up and down the country watching Exeter play.
"My favourite player is Sweeney, and we have so missed his drive since his injury. We are Big Bank fans, we have tried the seats and hospitality days, but you just can’t beat being up there. We spend on average around 7 hours in the car on route to home games, so some away games are much shorter for us.”
