Following City's defeat on the road against Crawley Town, Jack Fitzwater gave his reaction.
In the absence of Pierce Sweeney and Josh Magennis, Jack was this afternoon's stand-in captain, and he was disappointed in the manner the Grecians conceded the first three goals.
"I just don't think you can start a game of football like that and expect to come away with any points," said Jack. "I think in every department we were short in that 20 minute period.
"Too many of us, to a man every player on the pitch didn't give a good account of themselves."
One of the positives of the afternoon was a debut for academy graduate Tom Dean, a moment Jack said he can be proud of.
"Full credit to him, he's come onto the pitch and tried to inject some energy and he was good when he came on.
"Delighted for him and it shows there's a big pathway for players coming into this club."
