After City's 2-1 win away at Oakwell against Barnsley, goalscorer Josh Magennis gave his reaction.
City's vice-captain led from the front with his winning goal, nicking the ball back off a defender before slotting it home.
"From the high press, what the gaffer wanted, I forced the defender into a mistake," Josh said, explaining his goal. "Then when I was in on goal, I said to the lads I'd rather miss that chance than let someone else miss it and the goalkeeper gambled so I saw that chance and managed to slot it in so it was a nice one to take."
The Grecians showed a strong reaction from last Saturday's defeat against Wrexham, a trait Josh was proud of.
"I think we showed how we can right a few wrongs from Saturday where the performance was a bit underwhelming, so to come away to another big club, midweek after such a hard game it was important we put that right and we managed to do that."
