Pat Jones has given his first interview as he because City's 12th signing of the summer, putting pen to paper on deadline day to secure a permanent transfer from Huddersfield Town.
21-year-old Jones, who is a Wales U21 international, linked up with his new teammates in the surrounds of Worsley Park where the team are based ahead of Saturday's match at Bolton, and is looking forward to getting going.
"I heard about the interest a few days a go, and Gary [Caldwell] is someone that I have known through my agent for a years now, and it has really accelerated in the last day.
"It's a long way down south and it is a big move for me, but I'm really keen for it and I really want to play for this football club. It will be great to see the boys in action tomorrow, which is something I really wanted to do.
"The way this club has a reputation for developing young players, and I am at a point in my career now where I really want consistent first team football and show what I can do.
"I'm really attracted to the manager's beliefs and how he wants teams to play."
