After picking up an injury just a few days after signing for City, Pat Jones returned to action this evening in the under-21s win in the Premier League Cup.
The Grecians, led by Dan Green and David Perkins, secured top spot in the group with a 3-1 win against Bromley, and Pat played the first 30 minutes as part of his route to recovery.
"I really enjoyed, it was a good little run out and half an hour," said Pat, "It went as planned and I thought I showed some good little moments.
"It wasn't a good start to my career here really, but I enjoyed being back out here and it's good to play at the stadium as well."
Pat's injury held him back for the first few months of his time in Devon, but he still settled into the squad despite not being on the pitch with his new teammates.
"The club's been really good with me even though I've not been playing, the lads have all got round me and I've really enjoyed being here."
