After full-time, City's skipper Pierce Sweeney gave his reaction to the Grecians' defeat to Barnsley.

Exeter had an early lead through Josh Magennis' free-kick, however two goals early on in the second half turned the game on its head.

"I don't think the first half was particularly great," Pierce said, reflecting on the game.

"We went 1-0 up, played some decent football and had a couple of decent chances but for some reason we didn't get our press right."

A poor start to the second half lost City the three points, and Pierce was frustrated at the way him and his teammates began after the break.

"We come out in the second half and just don't get going at all, concede two poor goals and we don't clear our box well enough."

"It's frustrating, it's disappointing but we need to get together now, and tell each other what we really feel. We've got some experienced lads and we've got to have some serious conversations."
