We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Kamari Doyle on a season-long loan from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, subject to EFL approval.

19-year-old Doyle, who was a part of Southampton’s academy, becomes Gary Caldwell’s tenth signing of the summer transfer window.

The Brighton youngster joined the Seagulls’ academy in January of this year and made 13 appearances between both clubs in the 2023/24 season. He made senior appearance for the Saints in an Carabao Cup match at Gillingham last August, which came after a Premier League debut away at Brighton on the penultimate day of the 2023/24 season.

Doyle scored four times last season – three for Saints and one for Brighton – in the Premier League 2 and also made two appearances for the England U19 side in June last year. He has also featured internationally for the Three Lions’ U17 and U18 teams.

He can play in a variety of midfield roles, and manager Gary Caldwell has explained what drew him to the signing:

“Kami is an intelligent young player and is technically very strong. We believe he can bring a lot of value to the team and strengthen our midfield and attacking area, and we’d like to thank Brighton for allowing this signing to happen."

“We hope this can be another good relationship we have with a Premier League team.”

Kamari will wear the number 20 shirt and is available for tomorrow's match at Northampton Town, pending EFL ratification.
