City's newest recruit, Kamari Doyle, has given his first interview after joining the club on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2024/25 season.
19-year-old Doyle is the tenth signing of Gary Caldwell's summer and goes straight in to the squad ahead of City's trip to Northampton Town on Saturday.
"There are a few people at the club I have known before and the manager seems really keen to have me here, so it's a really attractive club to come and join."
While making his way through the academy journey, Doyle made two first team appearances for Southampton, including one in the Premier League, and he spoke with fond memory of of that opportunity.
"That was an absolute dream come true for me, to play in front of thousands of fans, and that is something I can't wait for here either. First team experience helped me a lot at Southampton, and at Brighton I think we have a similar playing style to Exeter so that's good."
Described by Southampton as 'James Ward-Prowse's apprentice' thanks to his specialities in free-kicks, Doyle hopes to replicate his dead ball success in League One.
"Yeah, I'm alright! Though James in unbelievable and I can't really compare to him - but it's a nice comparison!
"But most of all, I can't wait for Saturday, bring it on!'
