Forward becomes Exeter player after release from Cobblers

Alex Nicholls has agreed to join Exeter City on an 18-month deal after being released by Northampton Town.

The forward, who joined the Grecians on a second loan spell of the season from the Cobblers at the end of November, will become a fully-fledged Exeter City player when he leaves Sixfields officially on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old has made 13 appearances to date in City colours, and has scored one goal – a match-winner away at Cambridge in September.  He made a further 10 appearances this campaign for the Cobblers.

Alex will be available to face his former club when Northampton visit St James Park this Saturday 10th January, kicking off at 3pm.
