Exeter City under-18s boss Tom Donati has provided an update on the team after a successful two weeks.
After a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Forest Green a fortnight ago, the youngsters have bounced back with two positive victories. Former Grecian midfielder Alan Gow brought his Airdrie United side to the Cliff Hill Training Ground last week, with Donati's outfit running 2-1 winners.
Donati described it as a "good game in very tough conditions. It was windy. Very windy and very wet and it was tough conditions for both teams, cold too. The boys did well and Airdrie were up for it as well, so it was a good game."
Saturday morning saw the team record their biggest victory of the campaign, winning 6-0 win against Leyton Orient in Merit League Two - including a hat trick from Joe Wragg.
"I feel like we dominated on the day, other than the first ten minutes when we were sort of up against it, but then gained control in the way we wanted to control a game. Arguably, we passed them off the pitch and got them to a point where they were done."
Summing up the group's campaign since Donati joined early in the season, he said, "we’ve done pretty well, statistically done well, played 14 games, won seven, drawn four and lost three.
"A couple lads have been pushed into the first team which is the main aim really and a couple which played against Derby County on Tuesday night which is fantastic to gain those experiences."
