City midfielder Ed Francis has given his thoughts ahead of the Grecians' trip to Cambridge United on Saturday.
Francis played all 120+ minutes of City's FA Cup penalty defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening and explained what it was like to play against top Premier League opposition, while also saying that the squad is confident and raring to go ahead of the league match on Saturday.
"These are the games you want to play in, when you're growing up you want to be testing yourself against the best players and we were up against players who are third in the Premier League, and to see what they are like and how they play, that was a great experience.
"We have to look at what we did on Tuesday with confidence. We have to use a good result against a good side, and it is a big game for us. We have to treat it the same way as we do every game, but use the motivation."
