City's number eight Ed Francis was pleased with the reaction his teammates showed during the Grecians' 2-0 win against Stevenage.

The midfielder scored Exeter's opener early in the second half before Kamari Doyle added a second just five minutes into the second half.

"I think those sorts of games are always tricky if you go 1-0 down," Ed said.

"Obviously we got the first goal and it wasn't as fluid as we would've wanted at stages but we got the three points.

"Last week we had a disappointing defeat where we probably deserved a point, i think the reaction we showed was really really positive."

On his goal, Ed wasn't quite sure whether to class it as a bicycle kick or not.

"I wouldn't say so but people keep telling me it was!

"So I might claim it then as a bicycle kick then. This is the best form I've been in goalscoring-wise during my career!"
